Drying to a wood moisture content of 10% (+/- 2%), as well as proper storage and installation, guarantees optimum quality without any subsequent changes in shape.
A solid wood floor adapts to the room climate, i.e. it reacts to fluctuations in humidity by swelling and shrinking. At the same time, it regulates the humidity of the room and creates a pleasant indoor climate.
Before installation, the solid wood planks should be laid out in the relevant room for several days to allow them to acclimatise. This removes tension from the wood and minimises subsequent changes in shape.
